EverGREEN REFILL STATION

Our goal is to give you more ways to reduce waste!

You’ve heard about reduce, reuse, recycle and probably a whole bunch of other R’s but have you heard about REFILL???? Like the other R’s, the mission is to reduce waste. ESA’s Refill Station helps consumers eliminate single-use plastics from their household and personal care cleaning routine. Eco-friendly products are purchased in bulk and sold to consumers who bring their own containers for filling and refilling. We also maintain a supply of containers if you forget yours. We deduct the weight of your container and any remaining liquid using a digital scale. You pay only for the product you purchase.

The Evergreen Refill Station is located right here in Evergreen inside the Blue Spruce Habitat Restore located at:

1232 Evergreen Parkway

FAQ

Can I recycle at the EverGREEN Refill Station?

Yes, our partner, Aspire, hosts a number of Terracycle boxes to help recycle disposable razors blades, toothpaste tubes, toothbrushes, dental floss containers, pens & markers. Bring them in and we’ll get them to Aspire for recycling.

What types of containers can I use?

Any and all containers will work. Plastic, laundry and dish soap containers, mason jars, jelly jars, glass or plastic bottles work well too. We’ll even provide you with a new label.

Why is it important to refill your containers?

Each year Americans contribute enormous amounts of single-use plastics into the waste stream. Only 9% are ultimately recycled. The rest end up in our landfills, our oceans and frequently transported long distances to developing countries. Often the plastics are incinerated releasing toxic fumes into the environment. Plastics are made from fossil fuels and are thought to contribute 4.5% to planet warming greenhouse gases throughout their lifecycle. This is more than all the world’s airplanes combined. Why Support the EverGREEN Refill Station?

Which means YOU can do your part to reduce single-use plastics. Plastics are filling our landfills, destroying our oceans and contaminating our bodies. Let’s take the time to shop responsibly and do our part to impact this planetary crisis. Plus, your purchases provide a funding arm for our other important community programs.
